supporting women supports families which supports communities
The Women’s Centre was purpose built in 1994. For over 20 years we have provided a safe space for women in Glasgow. We aim to empower women by offering them opportunities to strengthen their choices in a challenging economical climate leading to changing their lives. We present a safe positive and accessible environment. We encourage and support all women to develop confidence, combat social isolation, promote learning new skills, raise their aspirations and achieve their potential.
Women’s Action Forum
Tuesday 7th February from
1 till 2.30pm. Please come along and join us for our first meeting of the year. As previously discussed at the forum we will be having a discussion around Violence against Women.
We have asked Draw Art to come along to the meeting and we will be discussing safe spaces where women can attend, who they can speak to and all types of information that we can put into a leaflet. Draw Art will design this, with a logo and we can start to distribute this on a wide scale.
Please come along if you feel you want to contribute, listen or provide us with any information that can help this be successful.
We are a campaign group that fights the injustice done to women born in the 1950s (on or after 6 April 1951) regarding the changes to their state pension age.
